Post Doctoral Associate
Two postdoctoral positions are available to study (1) hormonal control mechanisms in prostate tumor progression using animal and cell culture models and (2) the impact of extracellular matrix turnover on endocytic recycling during prostate tumor progression using animal and cell culture models. A strong background in biochemistry, molecular/cell biology and cancer biology, as well as experience with mammalian cell culture and mouse models, is highly desirable. The laboratory is located in the Beadle Center, a state-of-the-art facility which houses the Departments of Biological Sciences and Biochemistry, as well as Centers for Biotechnology and Redox Biology. Interaction with clinical cancer researchers is maintained through affiliation and active collaboration with members of the Eppley Cancer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Send a letter of interest and curriculum vitae by email to msimpson2@unl.edu. In addition, please arrange to have three letters of reference sent to: Dr. Melanie Simpson, Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, University of Nebraska, N246 Beadle Center, Lincoln, NE, 68588-0664.
