Cowboy logic: “A bad attitude is like a flat tire. You can’t go very long before you change it.”
Hello Neighbors! Conditions are great on the farm at this time. The grass has really been improving, hay is being cut and harvested and there will be a good crop of it.
New turkey chicks and broilers are in the brooder, calving is nearly done and lambing is nearly done. Grandkids show up off and on during the day to chore between all the activities they have this summer. I did manage to get them all around for hoeing the sweet corn patch and cutting cedar trees in the pasture for several hours. The pride in their eyes when the get done is a picture worth taking. We have great fun and they have all learned how to drive….even the stick shift. No such word as can’t around here.
Last Wednesday, thanks to my son-in-law Jeramie and his electrical experience he got our new solar array making energy from the sun. It is working great. It’s a 15kwh. We are very excited about it and we are planning on building and installing these as a sideline for others.
I have three farm tours lined up already different groups but I need to set aside a time for tours for customers. Please let me know a few dates when a good time for you as I’d like to bunch several families together if possible.
