RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
My program focuses on two main areas: biofuels coproduct feeds utilized by beef cattle and nutrition-environmental interactions with focus on nitrogen and phosphorus. We have established feeding values for numerous different types of coproduct feeds that are widely used by the beef industry, with my primary emphasis on finishing beef cattle. We are also evaluating optimal dietary ingredients such as grain processing, forage type and amounts, as well as other nutritional and management challenges related to finishing cattle.
