Cowpeas
Dr. Richard Goodman of FARRP (Food Allergy Research and Resource Program) recently presented a paper that was presented at the 5th World Cowpea Conference in Saly Sengel. His paper discussed the allergenicity of genetically modified cowpeas that could be used to help in reducing crop losses in semi-arid parts of Africa with out the use of pesticides. The cowpea is an important staple crop in sub-Sarharan Africa.

Mohr Scholarship and Fellowship Awards Program was established in 1989 for students in the College of Engineering or Biotechnology degree programs.
