The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has updated its fruits and vegetables Web site to reflect the new Fruits & Veggies-More Matters™ campaign, which takes the place of the 5 A Day program. The CDC and the Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH), have partnered with many other organizations to launch a new public health initiative Fruits & Veggies-More Matters.™

Following is a carrot and raisin salad recipe from FruitsandVeggiesMatter.gov
Recipe Summary:

Cups of Fruits and Vegetables Per Person: 1.0
Ingredients:
1 lb, carrots (5 or 6), peeled and shredded
1/2 cup, raisins
1 carton (8 oz) low-fat vanilla yogurt
5 iceberg lettuce leaves
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together, except lettuce. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Toss again before serving. Serve on lettuce leaves.
