Recipe for Healthier Living with Food and Fitness is a health and wellness program that is interactive, convenient, flexible, fresh, has lots of variety, is professional, and can be a little or a lot depending on what you want. It consists of a seven-week series of interactive sessions that focus on helping you:
- Know your numbers
- Develop goals to improve or maintain health
- Balance calories to manage weight
- Know which foods to increase and which to reduce
- Increase your physical activity level
In-service hours available for childcare providers: Receive up to 7 hours (1 in-service hour per webinar).

- Registration fee: $15 (includes wellness kit, postage and class fees)
- Registration deadline: Jan. 28, 2013 ($5.00 late fee after that date)
- Live sessions will be webcast Tuesdays from noon – 1 pm (Central Time). Choose how you want to participate:
- At your own computer. You will need an internet connection and web browser. Live sessions will be webcast via Adobe Connect platform.
- Gather with others at a common site of your choosing with internet access
- At the designated Extension on site locations listed below, along with a local group
- Or participate when it works for you, with others or by yourself, by accessing the archived sessions via the eXtension moodle campus. You'll receive instructions after you register.

This health/finance program is designed to motivate you to implement change strategies that simultaneously improve your health and personal finances. You can register for classes OR watch recorded past sessions.
Control Diabetes for Life is an educational program that is offered 1-3 times a year in various locations in Nebraska. The sessions are broadcast to several locations throughout the state and recorded for later viewing. Participants learn to control diabetes while preparing nutritious and delicious foods that are low in sugar and fat.
