California Walnut Granola

Scroll to the bottom of my blog
for directions for making this granola and a link to the recipe.

I used dried cherries and blueberries when I made the recipe.

In addition to eating this as cereal, it makes a tasty topping for ice cream and mixes well with yogurt.

Serve a "Shot" of Dessert

Sometimes just a small bite or two is all it takes to satisfy your taste buds. But how do you serve desserts that are so small? Try serving just a tiny bit of a premium ice cream or a lucious pudding in a shot glass or a small espresso cup.

Homemade Trail Mix

Give a gift of your favorite trail mix. This mix has red and green holiday colors with dry roasted, unsalted pistachios and almonds plus dried cranberries in an amount to fill your container of choice.

As different nuts maintain quality for various storage times, you might attach a label with this information: To keep this trail mix as fresh as possible, store it in the refrigerator for up to one month. For longer storage, transfer to a freezer bag and store up to a year in the freezer.
