angel hair pastaWhile regular pasta cooks in about 8 to 10 minutes, angel hair pasta -- also referred to as capellini -- cooks in about 3 to 5 minutes. Capellini -- which means "fine hairs" -- is best used with thinner, more delicate sauces according to the National Pasta Association.

The food to the right shows it paired with a thin tomato sauce.

You also can break angel hair pasta in half and toss it into soups toward the end of cooking.

Try a whole wheat angel pasta for added fiber and nutrients.
