The equine science option allows students to compine the in-depth knowledge and hands-one experience that is needed for a career in the equine industry. Classes focus on equine reproduction, nutrition, and management. Experiential classes focus on judging, riding, and training of horses, providing a well rounded educaiton. With over 15 horses on campus at all times, students have many opportunities to work first hand with the horses, both through classes and work experience. This option provides students with a background that can allow them to work in any area of the equine industry. The equine option can lead to careers in the areas of equine breeding,nutrition, genetics, and much more.
