Participant Manual
Seeing i2i: Adventures in Diversity and Cultural Awareness is a new 4-H curriculum intended to help youth gain ‘global competence’ and ‘cultural competence’ skills needed in today’s increasingly interconnected world and culturally diverse communities. The curriculum is designed for youth ages 11-14, but can be adapted for younger and older age groups. It can be adapted for use in 4-H clubs, camps, classrooms, afterschool programs, and other youth settings.

4-H Piloting Opportunities
We are pleased to announce that we are now ready to pilot four new curricula. If you are interested in being one of the first to try our new Nebraska-developed curricula and would like to have input into the final product, please be sure to volunteer to pilot one of the following curricula. And, be sure to specify if it will be piloting at a club, camp, school, or after school. We are limiting the pilots to approximately one of each. All we ask is that you and your youth participants complete the evaluations—which, of course, is why we are doing the pilot.

Grow A Beautiful Space: Landscape Professionals & Design Principles (NEW)
High School Age: 9th Grade or 14 years old.

Youth will discover the different qualities of plant materials and landscape structures and materials and how they can be used most effectively in the landscape.
Grow A Beautiful Space: Plants & Materials (NEW)

Youth will learn how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math are required to create clothing and other textile products. Youth will understand foundation techniques for engineering garments with woven fabrics using straight and curved seams.
S.T.E.M. Clothing 2: Simply Sewing (NEW)
Targeted Audience: Intermediate Sewers
Includes 1) Participant Manual
Youth will build on the skills they learned in S.T.E.M. Clothing 1: FUNdamentals and develop more advanced sewing skills to take their projects to the next level! Youth will understand mid-level techniques for engineering garments with both knit and woven fabrics including body shaping methods such as darts, pleats,. and gathers and garment components such as sleeves and collars.
